Son In Law plans commute from Annandale NJ into Brooklyn Ny daily Via RT 78 with car, Map Quest says its 1 hour and 9 minutes. I dont find this possible, does anyone have any input on this or a train which might run that way.
Unless he leaves at 5am, he won't even make it to the Holland Tunnel on 78 in that timeframe. If he hits the tunnel after 6:15 or so, he can expect the better part of 15-20 minutes just to get through the tunnel, and then he's got to crawl across Manhattan to get to Brooklyn. I'd say he's looking at the better part of 2 hours plus- especially on the return trip.
Since its Annandale - why not take the train into newark penn, hop on the path to WTC, then the subway? (Or change for penn station NY, and take the subway from there)
