Most malls are trashy, but Newport has always been exceptionally so. I used to live right near there in the mid-2000's and I would often cut through the mall to get to the Path train. Every day there were fights, security guards chasing people, and pretty much everything else you can imagine.
NJ has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation and Obama told us the safest places have the toughest gun laws!
How can that happen in a sanctuary city within a sanctuary state???
We were assured by embracing illegal aliens they would rat on gang members to make us all safer???
Notice the mayor said the 'players' were well known to police.
So why do Nj gun laws ignore the obvious and punish the innocent who would never, ever shoot up a food court in gangland retaliation?
I know! guvmurph will call a press conference and tell us. "it was a video that caused the shooting"!
NJ has less gun violence than most states, but not zero gun violence. Guns still pour in from Virginia, the Carolinas, Florida, etc., after all.
Also, FYI, most gang activity in JC involves native-born U.S. citizens. I know it's en vogue to pin every social ill in this country on "illegals" at the moment, but they're not on the hook for this one.

When I took the light rail there were always questionable looking kids shuffling between Newport and the Hoboken projects.
We ALL know what the problem at the Newport mall is.....
We don't, actually. Please enlighten us.
