New buyer in New Providence, NJ.
Who are the utility providers in the area? Do we have the option to shop around or singleton providers?

• Electricity
• Gas
• Drinking/waste water
• Trash
• Internet

Any recommendation on other service providers?

• Landscapers/Lawn/Snow removal
• Handyman? Plumbing/HVAC/Electrician
• Roof moss removal/cleaner
• Tree pruning
• Pest control
• Water softener
• Home and Car insurance

Anything else I missed house related?

Most utilities are single provider only. If you use a real estate agent, I'm sure they'll gladly provide all the details.

Electricity - NJ Power and Light
Gas - PSEG
Drinking Water - American Water
Sewer - town
Trash - town
Internet - not sure. I use Verizon Fios.

For service provider recommendations, there are Facebook and Nextdoor groups you can join to ask for recommendations. Or simply ask your neighbors after you move in.

If you don't mind my asking, have you already bought? TBF, there's no point worrying about this stuff till after you move in.
