Growing up my parents always took me to Shepherd Lake at Ringwood State Park – it’s perfect for families, they have a concession area, bbq grills, boating, fishing and hiking. I remember we use to picnic on the chapel’s front lawn – doubt they still let people do that but it’s a great spot if they do. Department of Environmental Protection

ummmm... way too crowded with NYers! Too many motor boats with drunk drivers...not a good choice in my opinion - especially if you're bringing the kids along.

That's not very nice Wiley!! Bad bad girl I wish no harm to illegals...every morning as I drive down 46 to work through Denville & Parsippany I see them biking and often think they are taking their lives in their hands...no helmuts..no protection

Some of the boats do not belong on a lake that size...maybe lake george up in NY or a bay or ocean....
