my husband called me from work one day (he worked in the Newark Pub Schools) about 4 years prior to mcgreevey resigning and said "rumor has it mcgreevey is gay and he's going to resign TODAY". i laughed. wouldn't you know it 4 yrs later and that's exactly what happened.
T,
I feel kinda of bad saying that Mrs Mcg sort of had to know her hubby was gay.
Does it really matter?
The guy was cheating on his wife.
It really doesn't matter WHO he was cheating with.
It just smacks of hearing what you want to hear or rather seeing what you want to see.
The only thing that makes me p...ed off is that this guy lied to his wife and US, cheated on his wife and now WANTS TO DRAG HIS EX AND KID THROUGH THE COURTS.
Did I read where he wants alimony too???????????
His first ex-wife (a Canadian) supposedly said in an interview over the phone that they "had an understanding"(he and the first ex). This was in regard to their breakup years earlier.
Didn't McGreevey only go public because his 'lover' tried to blackmail him or something? In other words, if that never happened JGreevey would still be doing his dirt behind his wife's back.
"Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned." As if the betrayal isn't bad enough and the public humiliation that Dina felt ... it's mind-blowing that he sought to take her child away! Had he succeeded, I would not have been surprised if the next McGreevey headline read, "Dina: 'I DON'T REMEMBER' when asked about pulling the trigger."
IMO, Jimmy realized that he pushed her as far as she would go. Pushing harder could have sent her into I've-got-nothing-to-lose mode. She and six friends may have acted on that.
Yesterday's news of a settlement was a very positive surprise ... but this ain't over yet. For that little girl's sake, I wish it was. I hope that Jim and Dina can continue to put their differences aside and focus on what's best for the child, but that surely goes against his selfish nature.
It was well known for over ten years in law enforcement circles that McGreevy was leading a double life and chasing cucumbers all the time. We see no evil and tell no evil. Gotta love it when he was on his fling with Cipel on a Cape May Beach and the jerk broke his leg and the state police had to race Dina down there.
Real funny. we all knew he was gay years ago!!! My friend told me they say him at the beach with his gay lover. The police may have known because because his security people must have known and word got out that way?
IMO the issue is not when/where/how long and with who was he gay with or who knew what back in the day. The issue is what's best for that little girl, I just hope that her parents indiscretions and refusal to keep a personal matter private won't cause her emotional damage and I SURE hope they're not playing head games with her by telling her that the other parent was at fault and blah blah blah.

Joe- Police drove him to his flings while he was mayor and gov.(it's none of their business they just provide security) Same thing with Gov.Spitzer they know but it's not there job to run to the Enquirer or Star with the info. No one had a problen that he is, was gay. The problen is he gave the Homeland Security Head job for NJ to his lover Cipel. And really does anyone think Dina didn't know. Half the people on this forum knew he was gay but his poor wife says she didn't know. Yea Dina I believe you(not).
