Ocean Twp is very nice. The schools are very good. There is a large Jewish population there, but that is no biggie to me. I feel like most people that live in Ocean like to stay in Ocean even as they get old. I live in Tinton Falls and love it. The school are amazing. We have programs at the elementary level that no other schools in the area have. Many people question the high school, but it is a very good school. I do know people in Lincroft and they also like the school.
Jackson schools are good, so are Manalapan and Freehold. It all depends on the type of housing you want and taxes vary from town to town. Any questions you have about these areas don't hesitate to ask.
I love how people love to point out which towns' schools are good. Outside of Asbury Park and Keansburg and to a lesser extent Keyport, are any schools in Monmouth County not?
Can't we just accept that how much students put into their schooling and how much involvement parents have in their child's schooling is far more important than any silly ratings system that says District X is better than District Y. People get waaay too caught up in that.
I would not go to Red Bank, but that is just my opinion. Little Silver and Shrewsbury are nice though. Look into what schools offer, like I said TF offers some great programs and cool things. For instance they have looping, partner teaching, montesori classes, ect.
I don't know anything about Oceanport. That's different than Ocean Township I assume?
Oceanport is a different town altogether in Monmouth County. It's a beautiful family town with very good schools, a pool/tennis club, great recreation, and Long Branch and Monmouth Beach just a few minutes away. The Blackberry Bay neighborhood is very nice.
