Are you kidding me? I've been in that Shop Rite, theShop Rite in Fairlawn, the Pathmark in West Paterson, and the Pathmark in Elmwood Park. People of all ethnicities work and shop there. Are you saying if minorities shop and work there it has to low class and trashy? Really get off your high horse.
I am not on a high horse...
Yea some minority's go to the shop-rite in West Paterson. And some work there. So what. They also act like regular people, and seem like good employees. probably because they live in the area, and arent bussed in from Paterson where people dont know how to act.
Yes, that's how I lost my job, I worked in the office for many many years, along with about 500 other people. Some did move on to Montvale, I was not making that drive, no way no how.
NICE perhaps... but they do not do a great job at operating their stores. A&P is awful, overpriced and I would not be surprised if they failed. Food Basics is the only brand in their company doing well.
The Pathmark in Eatontown closed in 2008 possibly because there is an A&P short distance away that needs more foot traffic.
Agree that A&P is more expensive than Shoprite.

It may not be a high horse, but it is definitely above sea level...
A sweeping generalization of the entire city? Really? And you wonder why you might get somoe people annoyed?
And it may shock you, but those employees who 'live in the area' of Woodland Park could very well be from Paterson.
Or do you think there is some sort of electric fence that is used to keep 'those people' from crossing the highway?
there are some significant "ethnic differences" between the shoppers and employees of Pathmark and Shoprite... you live somewhere and you can tell who fits in and who does not...
when it comes to employees some businesses are just better at keeping them in line.
