I live in Burlington County south of Medford and Marlton. You can do some serious shopping in this area (too bad that I don't like to shop). I can be in the Pine Barrens or at the beach in under an hour. I'm surrounded by a crazy mix of historic towns, farms and suburban sprawl. I curse the sprawl, but it is because of the many people who live here that everything from REI to the corner deli is still in business.

Just FYI - "North Jersey" isn't just one homogenous place with one tax rate.

To answer the question, it's a scenic place with great schools, friendly people, low population density. Educated and civilized residents who would give the shirt off their back. A hidden gem as far as I'm concerned. I didn't realize a place like this existed in NJ growing up.

ok. Generally cheaper then North Jersey. Basically South Jersey is cheaper in every respect then North Jersey. Car insurance, home owners ins, prop taxes. They are exceptions but overall its cheaper.

What town are you talking about?? when you were answering the question?

I'm answering the question about where I live in North Jersey. I assume your car insurance is about $600/car and your homeowners is around $300/yr?

Have you spent any considerable time in North Jersey? I know you're from PA.

car insurance is a bit more due to the fact we own new expensive cars.. (half what we paid in pa)If they were 15 year old Chevies it would be less then $600 a year I don't recall what our homowners is but I know its cheaper then in the Northern part of the state.
How much is your prop tax and size of home and ground??

What's so great about YOUR town?

You mean other then the fact that I live there? Shouldn't that be enough?
