Metuchen Apartments. Please help! (Edison, Franklin: apartment complex, rentals, condos)

Hi All,

I am sure people have posted the same question many times before, but I still need help. Please let me know if there are any good apartments near metuchen station. I did some research online and found out that

-Either most of the apartments are more than 10 minutes walking distance from the station or
- The ratings for the apartment complex is horrible.

I am definitely not looking to walk more than 5-7 minutes to the station from the apt.

Can people who have lived around the Metuchen/Metropark area and who have liked thier apartments recommend any.
Also, which are the newspapers that I can look at for apartments in that area.

Franklin Square and Central Square are private condos that some owners do rent out their units. Beside these two developments, Jefferson Park is another condo development that has rentals by owners. Go to middlesexcountymls.com and search for properties under $2,000 for rentals. As far as I know, the apartment complexes in Metuchen are Homestead and Redfield Village on Amboy Ave near the Edison border.
