LOL!! A bored 17 yr old, a @#$!! cat....a truck.....AND a car behind......I can't imagine doing that on anything other than an interstate, given the choice!!

I don't envy you, but I hope you have a very safe and uneventful trip on your way to T or C--definitely an unusual place!

Dang it, I'd be jealous except for the fact that midwestern winters and snow are nothing like that of New Mexico and the Moutain West in general!

You won't have to worry about much snow in T or C for sure.....it does snow occasionally, but T or C is mostly hot as hell, like Alamogordo!!!

Okay - but that just means there will be two of you bored to tears on that long haul across the plains! Oh yes, don't forget some really dark sunglasses for the two of you. You'll need them as you drive into the sun.

Thanks for reminding me!! I need new ones!!

Rachel thinks she's going to to be able to text ppl from her phone all the way down..... then there's playing Sims on the laptop. Have to stop every 2-3 hrs for potty breaks. I had to find the Motel 6's with WiFi.

I suppose if her complaining gets too bad I can threaten to make her ride in the car, drug her, or spray the cat calming spray on her.

Cathy4017 is wise.
She is also someone you don't want to get angry.

I thought you were moving to Albuquerque. If you take I-40 to
Albuquerque and then drive 150 miles South on I-25, you are
going to be somewhere between TorC and Hatch.

I think you are perfectly capable of deposing those guys.

It's the cat I worry about.

I hope so, I certainly don't want to break down!!. Katie Kat will be fine. My cousin gave me the name of the calming spray she used when she took her cat on a plane. Said it works great.

Between the kid, the cat, and my not so great night vision I'm planning on 3 stop-overs. Des Moines, IA as we'll be beat after filling the truck and making sure this place is clean. South Haven, KS as it has WiFi and is cheaper than Wichita. And Tucumcari, NM so we can reach T or C by 1:15pm and not be totally worn out.

Just set the date. We'll arrive in T or C around 1:15pm on Monday April 25th.
