Default Thank you.

WOW, everyone. THANK YOU

Some other inquiries, if you don't mind:

-Are there "bad" areas of town I should know about?

-Know of any dog-friendly apartment complexes within the vicinity? Life without the fur-kid is a deal-breaker.

- I guess Wally-World is the main grocery/shopping op in town?

-Seriously, how oppressive is Alamo's heat? I realize it is very DRY there (thank God. Humidity = The Devil), so I'm wondering what to expect.

-As a town with a USAF base adjacent, is there mingling of military with townfolk? Methinks I fancy the blissful notion of infinite masses of young, uniformed XY specimens. Just wondering what the relationship between base and town is.

Muchas gracias!

Bad areas hmm??????? Basically the old center core inbetween these streets. 1st street to the south/ 10th street to the north/ White Sands blvd to the west/Cuba ave. to the east.

Dog friendly apartments hmm?????? Basically most are dog friendly but you may need an pet deposit.

Walley-World shopping hmm???????? Ask Cathy as she'd know.

Alamo's Heat hmm?????? gets to the high 90's in the summer months but humidity is usually 15 % and Sac mountains are usually 20 degrees cooler.

USAF Intermingle in town NO hmm.........as they are everywhere in Alamogordo. The base is only 10 miles to the west and Alamo loves the Base and the money they bring in

6/3

Joy, even if WallyWorld was the only place to shop in Alamo, Las Cruses isn't really that far, is it??

I have to travel 2 hours now to get to a shopping mall, so anything closer would be a big plus!

DH was at Ft. Bliss for basic, and spent some time at White Sands - and he's still wanting to go back there (so it couldn't have been that bad, right??)
Your DH would be shocked to see how Ft.Bliss is changing as it's going thru a 5 billion dollar expansion and renovation right now until 2012. I'm glad you liked the photo's.
