There is now alot of action going on at Holloman AFB as we now have 7 F-22 Raptors and should have the full aloted amount of 40 by next year as this will help fire up the economy as we've had no airwing for about 1 1/2 years since the F-117 Stealths retired from service.

White Sands Missile Range is expanding also so it's good that Cannon, Holloman and White Sands are all expanding this year and next.

Bank on pulling in other industry other than the military, so when the base does pull out (does our government do that to their own people?), you will not be left holding the bag...the shopping bag of a store that closed due to lack of $$$input.

Clovis's economy bases 20% of it on the military..and has done many thing to reduse it after Clovis hits the 50,000 ppl mark projections show only 10% will be infuenced by the base which isnt bad!! Moderator cut: Name calling, slur, attacks objectionable word etc

I hope all that growth in Clovis dont effect Portales, I would hate to see my old hometown lose its charm and become a town that is not familiar to me with strip malls and tract houses.
