New website for Cloudcroft, Timberon, Sunspot, Mayhill, High Rolls
Hello. I'm posting to announce a new community website for residents of the Sacramento Mountains, including Cloudcroft, High Rolls, Mountain Park, Sunspot, Timberon, Mayhill, Weed, Sacramento, and Piñon:
http://sacramentomountains.net
It's a bulletin board where you can advertise stuff for sale, look for housing, post announcements and events, organize trips down the hill, ask for help, offer help, etc.
It's all free, and the site carries no advertising.
It is not a discussion forum. It's a place to post what you need or what you can offer to the community (no spammers, please). The idea is to bring mountain folks together online and make it easier for neighbors to help neighbors.
This public service is brand new, so feel free to join and help get the ball rolling.
Thanks for spreading the word.

You guys in Lincoln County are welcome to join too, though eventually it might be more effective to have a separate board. If anyone over there wants to start one, I'd be happy to help with the technicalities if someone else would manage the site. This is all an experiment, out of my own pocket. If it works, great. If it flops, the site will expire in a year.

sacnet: Thanks. I'll have a look. I am very interested in the area.
[A few minutes later] I see there is very little there yet, but I think it will come to life.

Yes, just launched today. If there is a need for it, I think it may grow. Build it and they will come ...

The lady here in Timberon that manages the Timberon.org website is going to add yours to it.
Also my sig. other that manages the Timberon water website will add yours on to it.
These should bring in some more for you.
