My hubby is a retired law-enforcement officer from Illinois. He says that if you want to be a criminal NM is the place to come because not much is done to them. To prove that point in the Alamogordo Daily News this morning on the front page an Alamogordo man got 18 months supervised probation for shooting two men. The state dropped two of the charges against him in a plea agreement. He has been in jail since being arrested for the charges and they count that as time served. He will have to pay a $100 Dna fee and a $5 domestic violence fee; Be employed or attend school(would you want him to work for you???) Blah Blah Blah. It is disgusting that these people can do what they want and get slapped on the wrist for it. If they don't do anything to those who commit violent crimes, you know they aren't going to do anything to those who drive drunk.
