Bourbon's not the only part of the Quarter, and the Quarter's not all there is to New Orleans. There's a big fireworks show on the river.

Absolutely (maybe not in busta's 'hood ) - check out www.nola.com there will be lots of events and occasions listed.

Check out the zoo - they have a great family friendly New Years "party" Zoo Year's Eve | Audubon Nature Institute Also Preservation Hall is no smoking/no drinking venue and I believe they do some afternoon concerts on New Years Eve.

No joke. ER sees a few of those on new years.

Fireworks show on river and in Metairie Parks.
I like Christmas in new Orleans. The bonfires on the Mississippi are amazing!!
