Hi all. I went to the informational meeting back in March. Sent in my application and finally got a response letter last week. It said that based on my log #, they would be contacting me in August. I too would like a 1 bedroom but although I have a good job and excellent credit, I'm not really sure I can afford to buy. Anyway, good luck to everyone.
I got the letter, AND another letter a little after saying "Congratulations, It appears you may quality for an apartment."
Does that mean I got through the main Lottery process?
They now want three years of Fed Tax forms, three years W2's, verification that you can pay the 10% down payment (liquid assets), and 2 months of paystubs. If you're self employed you want a little extra.
Nothing about an interview yet though. I guess once they look through your stuff they'll ask you to come in, IF you're still eligible.
Based on my experience with rentals, the request for documents is usually positive. They'll probably schedule and interview after they review your paperwork.
