A month ago, I applied to the cheap affordable housing in which out of 1,254 places, 235 of those are for the low/middle class families.

Luckily, I was accepted and they told me I have to go in for a housing interview. Can I ask, what are my chances of getting this apartment? All my income and everything fits in, except that I'm currently living in those mitchell-lama projects (also cheap affordable housing) and also I applied to 2 bedroom for the river place II but four people are living in it.

What are my chances of getting accepted? I really want to move in eventually.

I applied also and was accepted. I passed the interview stage and was terminated at step two because of High Debt to Income i was told. I do not have any outstanding credit card debt. This reason was due to a car note that i have been making payments on since 2007. Not Fair, because its an installment dept and does not accrue interest monthly.

Do they tell you what size apartment it is for... On the application fact sheet, same income can get you a studio and a one-bedroom... What does it depend on? Do they give you a choice at an interview? Thanks!

I had the interview last month. they didn't tell you what size apartment you would get, they just asked you for additional information. I don't even know the apartments are really exist. Can anyone tell me have people finally got an apartment from the river place 2 housing?

hi guys,
I am a newbie when it comes to mitchell llamas housing, section 8 etc etc.

Beside the NYC housing website, where else can all these low-middle income housing lotteries be found?
