Thanks everyone I think we will just walk on the Brooklyn Bride that sounds like a great idea.

You can also try Red Hook, they also have a waterview front, and they have great food trucks.. Prospect Park also has free concert events in the Summer. The Brooklyn Museum has the free target first saturdays of every month for free events all day. Check out the link below for more:

Actually MSG is in the process of doing renovations and are closing this summer and the next. So now might not be the best time to go see it. Wait til after it's renovated...I saw pictures of what it is predicted to look like and it looks amazing!

Concerts will then be held at Nassau Veterans(altough much smaller capacity) or the new Prudential Center in Newark which looks stunning.
