Hello, i've been collecting unemployment since last February 2010 after a two year job with an ad agency. I've been working temp gigs through a particular creative staffing agency throughout this past year. A week here, two weeks there etc. I claim every Sunday confirming whether I worked or not. Most of my gigs are through this one agency. When asked for the employer info I give the staffing agencies not the job they got for me...since the staffing agency pays me. It's always a "Lack of Work" situation. I'm concerned if I keep giving the employer info of this one place my benefits could be at risk? I know i'm technically considered their employee. Any info on this situation would be very helpful!

Just want to work!!

Thanks

the text in bold is indeed the proper way, as far as i know. the only risk in my opinion would be, and following the exact letter of the law, you are required to take any job the agency wants you to take so you can answer 'No' to the UI question of: 'have you refused any job within the last 30 days?' (or however their wording goes). i could be wrong but this is what i think.

For sure and luckily the jobs have been one's i've wanted

One concern is if the job is ongoing for a period of time knowing it won't go full time. The question asked every week is... Prior to this last period of employment have you worked for this employer within the last two years? Yes.
And, What is the reason you are no longer working for your most recent employer? Lack of work is the answer. But what if you know you're going back the next week? Touchy areas I think.
