Persians don't live in Jackson Heights, thats all south Asian.

Persians are way too polished & refined to live in JH! Peleaze!

Persians mostly live on Long Island in places like Great Neck, Old Westbury & some of the other nice towns on the North Shore /Gold coast.

Some of the 1st generation Persians still remain in Forest Hills, Queens. This is where most if not all Persians settled when they came to NY in the early 80's.
Persian Muslims tend to live in NJ in the ritzy towns of Bergen county like Alpine.

Some people have grouped us with the Lebanese and although we probably look alot aLike, we are different! Our language, customs, food & race is different. The only similarity is the shared Islamic faith by the majority of the pple living in both countries. The only other country in the area that we have similarites to is the people of Afghanistan. They speak a dialect of Farsi and culturally very similar to us. They are just extremely poor & underdeveloped.

Yea I wasn't sure if it was Jackson Heights or not but I knew there were a few areas of Queens where the population was predominantly Persian/Lebanese.....

And you are right, a lot of Persians and Lebanese live in Northern Nassau county like Great Neck, Westbury, Brookville, etc.....a lot of them are doctors, nurses, or radiology technicians and work at LIJ Hospital nearby.....

There is a small Jewish community in India and also somewhere here in NYC. I knew a Indian doctor who wore a skull cap he was Jewish and he had an Indian last name. Even they are Jews in Afghanistan and even in CHina with a synogogue in Kahifeng.

Maybe its a matter of favoring exotic women, but...as a Persian, I have always found my friends of "American" ancestry to be much more favoring of Persian girls. They speak of them as the holy grail...IMO, a small percentage of them are (physically) beautiful...the majority of them just don't do it for me. (Ironically, I look like as Americanized as they come...fair skin, green eyes, light hair.)

PM me if you are looking for "Persian" hangout spots...

Jerusalem and Israel will be liberated by Alexander the Great and his Greek Phalanx army who the Jews saw Alexander the Great as a the Messiah.
Persian Jews fall under the Sephardic family of Jews do they not?

I really dont know what branch of Judaism that Persian Jews fall under, I know its not Ashkhanazi of those Russian Polish, and German Jews. Sephardic Jews are orginally from Spain, but they were kicked out of Spain by Queen ISabella and King Ferdinand after the Reconquista from the Saracens or Moors or Muslims. The Sultan of the Ottoman Ottoman Empire sent its fleet to Spain and boat lifted nearly every single Spanish Jew out of Spain and sailed them to Greece and Turkey, many relocated to Istanbul. It was a great mistake for Spain to expell its Jews since many were physicians, bankers, and lawyers. If anything Persian Jews probably fall under Mizahri Jews of the middle east.

Yeah, Moorish Spain was the one place during the middle ages where Jews can live in peace and all three religions coexisted. It was the only place in Europe that didn't go through the "Dark Ages", with its Muslim poets and scholars and as you mentioned Jewish bankers, lawyers, merchants etc...Anyhow I was curious, I had mistakenly believed that most non Ashkhanazi Jews were Sephardic, including even Ethiopian Jews. Yet, I digress...back on topic, Persian women are pretty fly!

But PersianJewgirl make them out to be obsessed with material wealth and social status. I don't know many personally but I doubt most of them are that superficial are they?

Unfortunately, materialism runs amok in Persian culture. Most Persian girls are EXTREMELY high-maintenance.

So I have heard. I don't mind spoiling a girl but I'm turned off by gold diggers.
