The only thing that bothers me is wearing a suit to work waiting for the subway to come. Always sticky by the time you get to work!
Used to work on wall street.. Id leave shirts and ties at work.. And when leaving home (greenwich, ct) id take a small chilled (freezer) towel wrap it in Plastic and shove it in briefcase for when i needed it...
What parts of the city are the coolest/nicest during the summertime? Sorry if I sound ignorant, but for example, is Queens or Brooklyn cooler during summer? Are there certain areas of those boroughs that are the nicest? Etc?

It gets hot and humid in all the boroughs in the summer.

The bronx is supposedly a few degrees cooler on average. Not anything major. But manhattan does feel hotter to me. Probably due to its denseness...
when I lived in NYC I left every summer for Europe did that for 38 yrs. Now I live in Tahoe....... dry, cool perfect summers.
And 62 FEET of snow each Winter.
