The Mayor is screwing us over but at the end of the day we all gotta think about the fact that he's the Mayor because he got voted in that seat a few years ago. I didnt vote for him then and I would never vote for anything he ever runs for. A billionare will never have the little people on the top of his list of things to do. Look at the American Jobs Act and how its getting blocked and look who's blocking it. If it goes through that means more waste/garbage being generated in offices, homes, factories, etc. which means more of us getting hired.
As far as the cdl course goes you can go out and hire a private school. Actually it will be cheaper. However you will need to get a doctor to fill out the federal medical certificate form, available on the dmv site, so you are not restricted to municipal vehicles.
I am pretty sure that you don't need that medical certificate for DSNY.
Your CDL B will have an A3 restriction on it, but that is ok.
I liked BK12, did my GU and OJT night driving there. You will be sent out to BK 6,11,13 to do relays (probably). GU 8-4 was with Fred Mulckahey (good guy) and Supv Bobby Hoffner (also good guy)
For all you October class guys. If you want a great garage to do your probation in. M7 is where it is at. Brand new facility. We get 2 lockers a piece. Which by the way are also brand new. Guys look out for the junior guys. Easy commute from SI. If that is where you are comin from. Clean garbage. You will understand what that means when you are on the job. So if you have any kind of hook. Don't waste it anywhere else. Come to M7. If any of you have OJT there make sure to share with the class. Hope to see you guys soon. P.S. Anybody from the September class that has me beat or earlier, need not apply. LOL.
