Would you rather live in a penthouse with a view or a townhouse on a quiet street?

Townhouse on a quiet street. The inside of those places are awesome. I want a dumbwaiter.

If the square footage and costs are equal, I would opt for the Penthouse.

Brownstones are beautiful, but you have the associated stress of security and maintenance. In a penthouse, all that is done for you.

If you could afford 'true' versions of either the cost to secure w/b negligle.

I would opt for a double lot plus town home, east side on the river with land, perhaps in the Sutton Place area.

One would be better able to control your environment and have greater privacy. If you need things 'done for you', that's why you have 'people'!
