Girl just be glad you will l have an apt soon.I know it can be frustrating waiting and waiting but atleast u know ur gonna be moving soon. I haven't really heard of people waiting a month to move it,but you never know with nycha. How long did it take for them to call you after you were certified for the development. And is it a one bedroom,2 bedroom. I'm still waiting to be certified and am waiting for a 1 bedroom apt.

i am happy but i moved out of my one bedroom and because my lease expired and im living somewhere else really far away thats what is frustrating for me. it took them nearly 6 years after being approved for nycha to send me a letter to go see an a two bedroom apartment.

you mean after they showed me the apartment?

they showed me the apartment on a tuesday and i had to put my first months rent and security deposit by that thursday. they lady stated that if i did not have the money by thursday they would put me back on the waiting list and there was a chance i would be waiting a very long time for another apartment if NYCHA wants to even bother calling me again. they really limit the time they hold the apartment because the list is usually long and they know if you do not have the money someone else will.
