A vote for Quinn is the same as a vote for a Bloomberg 4th term. She is owned and operated by the real estate industry (construction 24hrs a day in nyc!). She was a key player in closing down St. Vincents Hospital so that Real Estate Tycoon Lou Rudin could build his towers of Babylon.
A vote for Lhota is a reincarnation of GUILIANI. He was rudy's Btt Buddy throughout the entire stretch.
" Cats" the gristides supermarket guy. Well I'll leave that one up to your imagination.
What does this city need ? Not a gay mayor not a republicans pretending to be a democrat. Not Guliani's offspring. WE NEED SOMEONE OF COLOR. THOMPSON. I don't care what the issues are. The guy is black and understands suffering. I'm sure he hates what this city has become under white rule.
I gave up long ago thinking we're going to ever move forward on race issues. Statements such as the above are why.
Why ? I think Thompson would do a great job. Would you rather the minorities and people with less money get pushed further and further away from the city ?
Hey it's your commute not mine. I live in midtown !
I've lived here my whole life, I haven't been pushed anywhere. The last thing I'd ever want to do is live closer to Manhattan.
Besides, my comment referred to your statement and other people like you who still view every issue from the standpoint of race. Since that will likely never go away in some circles, we'll always be right where we are now and have been for decades.

There are still beautiful areas of this country where citizens just want to be regular Americans who go about their own business and be good neighbors to each other. Unfortunately, most of NYC does not fit this bill and hasn't for a LOOOOONG time (if ever).

Obama must have disappointed a lot of white voters to this day...might be a little spill over from that.
I think Weiner is a strong candidate, but this recent scandal butchered him. It's not the scandal itself either, it's the fact that he lied about it. Why would anyone want a liar in office? At least wait until you're in office, then lie! All joking aside, if he's willing to lie about this to his wife then what else is he willing to lie to us about?
I recently read a decent article about this: bit.ly/1ckJh0m.
As for what he's done? Check out the wiki page for that. He's the candidate New York City needs but doesn't deserve.
