There is NOTHING wrong with Dante's hair. I think the people complaining about it are just jealous they can't grow a fierce fro like his.

Other than THIS site, I haven't read or heard any negatives.
Grow a fierce fro? Some of the cranky old dudes on here can't grow any hair at all, most likely. Its toupee time, gentlemen!

Watch your hair ladies, young men with long hair, and older men who haven't grown bald. If they get a chance these hateful bald men will cut your hair and take it home and make a toupee out of it.

That seems a bit extreme. Couldn't they just purchase a pack of hair from a Korean beauty supply store?

[quote=DAS;31341939]Yes it is a tale of 2 cities but some people are going to have to be more responsible for themselves. Being a single parent is not necessarily a bad thing. It is better to grow up in loving peaceful home with one parent that is setting a good example, than 2 that are dysfunctional.

That's a very good point. Being a single parent is not necessarily a bad thing, and its better to grow up in a peaceful home with one parent that is setting a good example, than two that are dysfunctional.

There are also legitimate reasons for getting a divorce. One spouse could be abusive, could refuse to fix his or her addiction or adultery problems, could decide not to work, could be completely irresponsible with money, etc. Perhaps the responsible parent bailed out and took the kid with him/her.

Or in some cases, life is not fair and one of the parent could be widowed.

I truly believes that he knows this, but he just doesn't give two craps, because he's filthy rich and views himself as exceptional and untouchable. He has everyone in his back pocket.

The funny part is, he had her on a string, promising an endorsement. But at the end of his illegal third term, she found out that his endorsement was nothing more than a hindrance. Fortunately, there is light at the end of the tunnel for her. Bloomberg is a billionaire and can create positions out of thin air. Quinn, like the rest of his minions will probably receive a cushy directorship at Bloomberg news or at one of his "philanthropic" organizations. After all, she's been a very loyal servant.

So true.. LOL

I'm waiting patiently for you maniacs to quote who is targeting this kid's hair. I read over several of the first few pages, and nothing. Maybe there's more I'm not seeing, so quote it for me. Like i said earlier, I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong.

As far as I can tell, the only people who even mentioned his hair in any capacity have been the PC Patrol accusing these phantom forum members of targeting his hair.

At least he is not a socialist snake like de Blasio. Mark my words, elect that man and he will end up making Dinkins look an excellent mayor in comparison.

Proposals like taxing the rich to death sound good to the masses ... but it flawed concept that does not work in reality.

There's also the fact that his previous job was chairman of the MTA. Since when was the MTA a popular state owned agency. Lhota's claim to fame is that the MTA crew repaired Hurricane Sandy damage, but that would have happened under any MTA CEO. Lhota came up with no new transformational ideas for public transportation or anything of the sort. Dude is finished.

I've never understood why the working class care so much about the well being of the rich. I guess this is the greatest trickery of capitalism. It fools the bottom part of the pyramid into protecting the upper part of the pyramid, because many at the bottom tier have a hope, dream and wish of rising from their working class status. Too bad they haven't figured out --the class one is born into is usually the class one dies in as well...

I make a six figure income, but I consider myself working class, because I must work to earn my salary. Unlike the elite, I can not simply live off of investments... The difference between you and I is, I understand that the wealthy elite have no interest in my well being; therefore, I have no interest in protecting their elitism.

Perhaps you prefer to live under a system where the wealthy have all of the resources and you collect a few crumbs. I just find it fascinating that the wealthy always manage to get the poorest to fight their battles and dismantle the very policies that many poor people actually benefit from.

For example, I've heard many poor people (who are uninsured) argue against the ACA/health care exchanges. They usually go into detail about the bloated deficit and complain that the government is growing too large. Working class people need to realize that the deficit was here when you first entered the world, and it will remain in existence long after you perish. It's so strange that the only people who care about the deficit are the poor. Wall street didn't give two shi*ts about the deficit when they needed their bail out money. That should tell you, all that you need to know.

Debt is what makes the world go around, it is the cornstone of capitalism. Verizon is buying the 45% of Verizon Wireless it doesn't already own. And how it is financing this? Its using a debt and stock combo.

Major corporate purchases are always done with debt. Even on a consumer basis, we generally use debt to buy houses and cars (mortgages and home loans). Even if you're filthy rich, certain transactions are still done on credit cards (hotels, car rentals, etc).

Its usually the poorest people who go hysterical about debt, because their projecting their own difficulty in paying their own bills onto the entire economic system.

No governmental entity will ever pay off its debt, because they always issue new bonds. The subway system from the very beginning was created by issues bonds (paid off by revenue from the transit system). Other municipal infrastructure like airports was created by issuing bonds as well.

It would be the end of business/capitalism if we knew if it governments of all levels, from national to city like New York, did not have a decent debt balance.

Companies also issue debt for operations. Example, retail makes a lot of money some months, other issues revenues are down. So they borrow money in lean times and pay it back during the back to school and winter holiday sales.

Particularly the federal government, which also issues the money. The "national debt" is an accounting fiction that never needs to be paid off and indeed cannot be.

But back to the election...anyone else sitting out the comptroller election? I suppose Spitzer is the right choice but I dislike him personally so much that I don't know if I can do it.
