Brooklyn: Just hipsters and Yuppies and hoodrats. Wrong. There is a middle class in Brooklyn too.
Queens: You live there when you just can't do any better. Wrong. Lots of variety, vibrancy, and reasonable cost housing.

and last but not least

Staten Island: Not really part of the city and too far away from everything. (OK. So that one is NOT wrong!)
You were correct in all of the above, except the last one......about Staten Island.....Almost 500,000 people want it that way.....

Which borough was the most multi-racial/ethnic during the '70s?

Their is a popular video game created by Rockstar called Grand Theft Auto which has a storyline set in a factitious NYC which features similar boroughs. Like in the Fictional Bronx one of the stereotypes is the Bohan aka is

Great For Shootings.
Be Afraid.
Ripe for Redevelopment.
Practically Upstate.
Where is that again?

Queens AKA duke is known for

Like the Suburbs, but only worse.
I think my maid lives there.
Multicultural Ghettos.
Its great for the airport.
I've Heard its nice but I never been!

Broker AKA Brooklyn

Hipsters, Churches, Housing Projects,
Gentrifying,
Full of Desperate Try hards
Mostly Bridge and Tunnel.
Suddenly Fashionable, no one knows why?

Algonquin Aka Manhattan.

Better in the Movies.
Yawn
Expensive and Snooty
Tall Buildings and Angry people.

Some of these stereotypes seem to be on point about NYC.
