Bully for you! You & the wife managed to make it to school, instead of getting a snow day or burning a personal or sick day. Here's your gold stars, if they're still permitted.
More than half of NYers kept their children home. I suppose that you were able to focus on your prep-school-sized class and instruct them on the meaning of life, which will change their futures for the better, while those who stayed home & (I hope) frolicked in the snow with their parent(s) will live to rue not having attended your class yesterday.
You won't have to worry about snow, once you get to LA. Just smog.
