I have to concur with you SOBRO on this. The Liberal Elite, from Manhatten to Hollywood truly desires to transform American into their image--frightening. The Liberal Elite, coupled with liberal mainstream media, supported by the majority of academics who are leftist centric, etc. have the self-loathing gene and will stop at nothing to remake America into something that our founding fathers would not recognize.

My motivation in the Bronx gentrifying is not monetary. I have no desire to sell. My motivation is knowing that if the Bronx does indeed gentrify, the "hood" population in the Bronx will decline. And everyone on this board already knows how much I hate ghetto a$$ hood people. No surprise there.
I so desperately want the Bronx to prosper and turn that corner. To me gentrification represents a new begin (something the Bronx needs) a new flow of people, a demographic change from poor to financially stable middle class folks. The hood culture that has and still does plague the Bronx would be a thing of the past.
Tired of seeing hood people "chillin'" outside conducting themselves in a loud, unruly and uncivil manner. To me, gentrification will get rid of these type of characters just as it has in other parts of the city that were formerly "hood".
To me, gentrification represents the cleansing of a neighborhood by removing the riff-raff.
So there you have it folks, at the end of the day my motivation for the Bronx gentrifying is NOT money but peace and quiet. Is that so much to ask?

Well at least there is some improvement going on. And why not when some pretty bad parts of Brooklyn where in the past nobody thought there would be improvement are also seeing positive changes.

A large portion of the liberal elite make up the 1 percent. Liberals are not any better than those wealthy waspy folks. Sometimes I often find liberal especially elite types very two-faced. This country needs more middle ground people that can understand things at multiple spectrums.
