Guy kept saying Queens is too residential, yet Windsor Terrace is much more residential-only than Jackson Heights. Queens has a bigger economy, yet somehow still considered more residential than Brooklyn. Even with more people from Brooklyn employed in Queens than vice versa.

Many of his pals in banking where he works probably got carried away the Brooklyn hooplah.

JH has had a few sales of co-ops and houses close to $1m lately. And several houses asking well over $1m.

It's still a relative bargain compared to other areas in NYC... but it's slowly getting more expensive and there have been many local businesses opening up catering to different demographics.

Particularly Brooklyn Heights. That's where many of the people who worked downtown on Wall Street moved to. The thing is if you work in a midtown bank or other financial institution Manhattan Jackson Heights is closer to where you work than Brooklyn.

Also I figured out where the house is in this article. I am not sure it gave the address, but it's just off 35th Ave in the mid-70s streets. So that means it's a very quick walk to the express train at 75th and Roosevelt (like maybe 5 minute walk). I think you could be in Midtown in 20 minutes door to door at rush hour from that address. The E and F trains only take about 12 or 13 minutes from Jackson Heights to the 53rd/Lex or 59th/Lex stops.
