I mean, an actual porcine pig, not just a messy person.
I saw a girl walking a pig on a leash this afternoon, and all I could think of was how god-awful it would be to be her next-door neighbor. I've seen a pet ferret on a leash, but at least they're kind of cute.
Who decides that dogs or cats are okay and pigs are not or whatever kind of pet you choose to have. I'm annoyed by many dogs in my building barking all the time but owners who are never around. And I'm really annoyed by people who bring dogs on the train that aren't service dogs. Thats also illegal but people do it all the times.

I'd rather have a pig next door than a largeass dog. Large dogs can be really obnoxious wit the barking
Tell me about it! My roommates and I had to place a shock collar on our Australian Shepherd because the barking was insane. So annoying!! But in the dog's defense, I don't think the breed is meant to be in NYC apartments. lol I think they need to be on a farm- where the owner actually purchased her from.
Are you in Williamsburg? I saw a lady walking a pig there a few months ago...
I've seen this in Williamsburg on a couple different occasions. Once a guy took it out for a walk to let it pee. I swear it must have peed for at least 10 minutes non-stop.
It's rather like saying it's "cool" that a friend is doing well with a rock band he's playing with. The issue isn't whether it's cool - the issue is what it's like for the neighbors.
How do you know what it's like for the neighbors? How do you know if it's an issue for them? Have you ever had a horrible experience living next door to a pig?

Poor dog. That's a herding breed and is hard-wired to chase anything that moves. No offense, at least you sound halfway fun to live with, what with the sense of humor and all (not sarcasm).
