Hey everyone, I just moved to Brooklyn and I need to rent an apartment ASAP. I was viewing an apartment in 52nd St between 3rd Ave and 4th Ave. I have checked about 7 apartments out before this one and this one has the best condition. But I don't know about safety in this area. Any suggestion?

From my experience, that area is generally safe, though there are the occasional incidents of violent crime. But, note, as I mentioned before, most victims of violent crime (and I'm specifically referring to murder here) are gangbangers being targeted by other gangbanger. Just take some commonsense safety measures, as you should wherever you live, and you should be fine.
