Lots of Throggs Neck is actually on the decline from what I've heard. Country Club and Woodlawn are quite small and isolated, which doesn't say much when we're talking about an entire borough. I would be shocked if you could actually name 10 "nice, stable, safe Bronx neighborhoods", without referring to them as if they're part of the Bronx that most people know the borough for.
Throggs neck is not on decline. It's just more brown now. For some that ='s decline.
Before moving to Jersey, I lived in Riverdale. I never said I lived in the Bronx when someone asked lol. Beautiful town. I miss it.
Kudos to you for taking pride in the town. A beautiful town it is! Hopefully we can keep it that way. These latest drug busts have many of us in the community concerned, and police patrols have been stepped up, as they should be here.
Perpetuating false stereotypes about the Bronx is just fine by me for now. Keeps my rent low!
It cracks me up too.
