How would have the expressway Moses wanted run? I assume from the Jackie up Bushwick ave, down Park ave, over the Manhattan bridge, down Canal st to the tunnel?
Part of it was supposed to run along Conduit Boulevard in Brooklyn - that's why it's so wide between the eastbound and westbound lanes. Cross Brooklyn Expressway (I-878, unbuilt)

Do you think one day they might narrow down Conduit Blvd and make it into a "normal" street, and use the extra space to build housing one day, or maybe actually make a highway along the park like median?

This is the one I was thinking about. Also, I think there was a scrapped proposal for an expressway that would be built along the right of way of the old Bay Ridge branch LIRR tracks. Imagine how useful that would be? A highway connecting Bay Ridge/Sunset Park to Ridgewood, passing through bensonhurst, midwood, flabush, ENY, etc all on the way.
Least favorite: I drive the Cross Bronx to the West Side Highway four mornings a week. The transition between the two has to be one of the most ill-conceived merges ever. Then I get to do it in reverse in the evening. If it takes me an hour in the morning (to go 15 miles), I consider it a win.
Favorite: In NYC proper? Does't exist. NYC highways stink.
