Live in Extell's Hudson Yards Skyscraper 555Ten for $910/Month | 6sqft

Quote:
Last September, 6sqft reported the topping out of Extell Development‘s 610-foot-tall, mixed-use tower quietly rising at 555 Tenth Avenue and 41st Street. Now fully sheathed in glass, the development team kicked off its housing lottery for the building’s 120 below-market rate units, priced from $910 per month for studios up to to $1,315 for three-bedrooms.

It's upsetting that the incomes to qualify are so low. Why can't normal middle class people get an apartment like that? It's almost like we're being punished for living our lives the right way.

So low income people get to live in Manhattan luxury while I am forced out to a basic, no amenities, built in 1920, outer borough apartment for double the price? Glad Im getting the **** out of this city!

Actually its too high for me to apply. I'm disappointed they have nothing in the $20,000 range.
I work I just don't make that much. I live my life the "right way", you can't say somebody making less doesn't "live their life the right way. I have excellent credit, no dept, good with money, give back to the community, volunteer with several organizations but I "don't live life the right way" cause I make less????

No offence but income levels that low for a single person requires extremely low income housing, and yes such units often are not a large part of these lotteries.
