I would appreciate any recommendations for a nonsectarian special education or alternative high school(public or private) in the New York City area. I am dissatisfied with my son’scurrent school and I am eager to transfer him. My wife and I have arduously attempted to navigate the minefield of school placement for years, as I’m sure other parents have also. We areconsidering retaining a school placement consultant but they can be somewhatprohibitive. So we’re trying to exhaustother options before seeking professional advice.
Our son’s IEP designation is speech/ language delayed. I’m sure there are other related threads which I’mcurrently researching.
I thank you for your help.
