Southern Brooklyn is quite in general. Less suburban thru traffic than Northern Brooklyn, Queens, or the Bronx.

Many parts of southern Brooklyn suffer from less transportation options, so I doubt it. Most people have cars and don’t rely on public transportation

And these areas are still pretty expensive to live.

Midwood is huge

And there’s sheepshead, mill basin, Coney Island

I used to live in sheepshead, having to take the bus to the junction to catch the train wasn’t ideal

Most people don’t like taking buses, they are slow and nobody wants to wait out in the cold for it

I had to get a car which most people do in the sea I lived in

Most people that live in south Brooklyn take express buses.

i'm still stuck on how you think south Brooklyn has less transportation options.

Express buses, trains, regular bus, it's not like you can't get around. The transplants can't be more than 30 mins away from trivia night tho in a bar that looks like Eric Forman's basement. That's why they're not in south Brooklyn.

Agreed. Nathan's is like a ghost town during the cold months.

If someone wants a quite neighborhood in NYC, Southern Brooklyn and Staten Island are their best bets.

South Brooklyn doesn't seem dead at all to me unless you don't consider anything less than Manhattan level of activity to be active.

Most of those neighborhooda are dense and have subway service
