NYC Starbucks will just place out of order signs on the bathroom.
Or when they remodel or take up new spaces not have a bathroom. They only need to offer a bathroom if a they have 20 or more seats. 19 or less seats for customers a bathroom is not required by law.
I think the bathrooms are part of their marketing strategy. How many untold thousands of people ran into SBUX to use the can, and grabbed a cup of something on the way out? This is especially true in NYC, with its dearth of public bathrooms.
Yes, a lot of people with hit the head and leave without spending a dime. But a lot buy something. And the margin on coffee is huge.
they just need to clarify before entering a receipt bathroom code policy so there's no confusion which can create bias
feel like america is getting stupider and losing common sense
i may have regret writing this though next time i need to take an emergency sh*t but for the greater good i don't think its the right decision if its going to mean homeless ghetto bums hogging the bathrooms and destroy them
I have no compunction about bringing food into SBUX as long as I buy something to drink there.
I've picked up shwarma at Mamoun's and taken it to the Astor Place SBUX bought an ice tea, sat down and ate my food.
