Good evening, I have a question.. how long after you get your approved letter for affordable housing do you go and sign your lease ? Do they have a time period to sign a lease or can you pick the day you would like to sign it ?
I got selected for 605 w42nd phase 2. I haven’t had an interview or anything yet. I didn’t file taxes & i get paid in cash ... I can get a notarized letter from my employer stating the amount I get paid weekly. Do you think this will hurt my chances?
I don't know about the cash part, but the fact that you didn't file (and pay) taxes can't be good.
You can't have it both ways: enjoying the perks of the underground economy and then seeking affordable housing under an official city and state program. Pick one.
If someone posts an ad for assistance with affordable housing and requires a $500 fee. I bet people would fall for it but makes you wonder how these people can afford a $500 fee.

It's a very short amount of time, as they want their security deposit *and* the lease signed asap. I don't think you can come in after a good 15 days, or so. I won two lotteries and on both cases, they literally harassed me to hurry up and sign the lease as they have others on a wait list.
