When drunks and junkies pass out and cause a "sick passenger" delay for 30 to 45 minutes on a train because none of the staff are legally allowed to drag the fool onto the platform.
That $Â¥/+ needs to be changed! (to allow removal of passed out junkies by train staff onto platforms)

Btw, that's insane. What do they do? Just stand around & stare at him/her. Jeesh.
I know they can remove animals off the track. I guess just not people...
Why do you need to vent? And why should other people listen to you more or less vomit on them, because you're pissed?
If you do have a day where you get home late, it's not my fault, nor can I do anything about it. And I don't just me personally. If I'm not a rep of the MTA or a NYC or a NYS politician, there isn't anything I can do about what you deem as bad service at the MTA.
That's why just complaining is whining, because you aren't taking your issue to those empowered to do something about it and you're not working to make a positive change.
Thats why we have this thread SO people can complain all they want. So why are you here reading it if you don't want to listen to it. Go read another thread and let the rest of us blow off some stream and complain about the MTA!
And who knows, maybe people will read this from the MTA!

I'm protesting the complaining. LOL. Seriously there's nothing wrong with pointing out problems if you're willing to do something about it.
If you can go to City Data and make a post about the MTA, you can tweet to them directly about problems, or you can e-mail the MTA and politicians.
So why are people all mouth here, and quiet as a mouse off of here? Fear?
If you are not a part of the solution you are a part of the problem, and if all you do is complain and don't fight for positive change you are at least as bad as the MTA officials you complain about.
Pointless to complaint because you know it is not going to change anything. So, might as well find a way to deal with it.
No its not... its healthy to talk about things that bother you or one day you will just snap and be one of those people to punch a random person on the train or push someone on the tracks

No, MTA employees cannot move people and there is one huge reason; liability.
Thus they are required to summon aid (911, LE, ambulance, etc...) and let them deal with the situation.

Actually, now that I think of it that makes sense. If someone's prone best not to move him/her cause it can make things worse unless he/she is in imminent danger. Let the professionals handle it. But what if he/she is upright and just acting like a loon. You can't just apprehend him/her and make a citizen's arrest?
That's really what the transit police are for. If I'm just a conductor, I'm not trying to lay hands on some lunatic who may or may not have a knife unless that person is literally in the process of assaulting someone, and even then I would do it for ethical reasons, not as a job requirement.
