no one is forcing anyone to go to school. you cant get sick and blame the state because you have a low immune system, because you smoke cigarettes and drink beer.

Lawsuits? Can you imagine the precedent it would set? I know it's "not just the regular flu", but that would mean, when schools do reopen, every sick kid's parents would then sue the school for being unsanitary as soon as they catch a stomach flu?

Like it or hate it the following is only my opinion:

Sue? Sue who? U.S.A. who will in turn sue China? Get real............people......

This is going to come down to a choice of risky living in the current adversity and going on
with your daily life or stay shuttered indoors while the whole country falls into total economic collapse around you.
The sissies in this world better get used to scrounging for their next meals rather than scrounging around for lawyers.
The people that will save this country are the those will fortitude and guts.....even if it costs a few lives.
We are living in an Eat or be Eaten World. We have been bitten. It is time to bite back or be consumed.

Completely faulty logic and won't hold up in court of law.

Young healthy fit people who don't engage in vices have been floored by this virus

99% live - that's why this is not and wasn't about the death count - it's about resources. Lots more than 1% need a hospital. And we don't have that many hospitals. It's very simple math. You don't need to be old or sick to catch it. And you don't need to die to take up hospital space. We are trying to keep that from becoming an issue (in the fall).

Meantime - I have never seen ANYONE wear their mask in car...that isn't simply STILL wearing it from the store.

But I would say NOT wearing your mask is like having an STD and not wearing a condom. Rude.

The mask in the car thing depends on the area you're in. This is the NYC forum - -but I take it you're not in NYC.

In my area of NYC when I watch cars pass, I would say at least half of drivers are wearing masks while driving. I also wear one when I'm driving as well, mostly because I'm usually coming from an area where I need to be wearing one and going to an area where I also need one, and the distances I'm driving are very short.

And P.S. I completely agree about the resources concept!
