He says some things that many people could agree with I think, but his problem is his style:
-- he is too tough-on-crime and no-nonsense to appeal to those on the left
-- he is too vulgar to appeal to old-school, patrician conservatives
-- like QueensGuy72 said, he likely alienated working-class and middle-class Trump supporters by bashing him the way he did
