Didn’t know Curtis Sliwa was running for mayor.

What are his chances you think ?
Most qualified?

Publicity stunt, which Curtis excels at. He took credit for closing the Umbrella hotel in Queens AFTER Bill de Blasio ordered it shut.

Probably the most qualified of any of the candidates who've announced so far.

Pretty sure he's run for mayor every cycle since the 70's.

I just read an article about Curtis Sliwa issuing an apology over one of the Guardian Angels getting into a brawl on the subway. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that was part of the role of the Guardian Angels? If need be, they will get physical, otherwise, what purpose would they serve?

Curtis knows this city as well as anyone. Certainly more than the liberal lowlifes running as demorats. However that doesn't mean he has the skills to manage a city this large. But I do believe crime would go down under his leadership - but I can't see him being effective otherwise.

I personally called his show about a month ago and told him not to bother running. Why? He asked. I told him he has no chance of winning without the white ethnic vote in places like Staten Island, south brooklyn and NE Queens, and that those places are indeed MAGA country and that he was no supporter of MAGA so he should not expect us to turn out for him.

Curtis was speechless. He'll regret bashing Trump as hard as he did.

so you think the purpose of the Guardian Angels is to get into arguments with people that criticize them and then walk over to such people and get into fist fights with them?

GOP mayoral hopeful Curtis Sliwa lays out mayoral platform
Oct 20

https://www.nydailynews.com/news/pol...iku-story.html

Sliwa..
said the police department shouldn't be responding to calls involving emotionally disturbed people, arguing those responsibilities ought to be transferred to groups like the Guardian Angels.
“Sometimes police arriving at the scene exacerbates it,” he said.

He also proposed reworking the New York City Housing Authority to give tenants the ability to buy their apartments and provide more trade and maintenance work to NYCHA residents.

According to Sliwa, his first two orders of business would be ending the practice of killing dogs and cats in city animal shelters and providing more public restrooms to New Yorkers. “That would be my number two priority,” he said of the bathroom program.

Estimates of Sliwa's net worth vary widely from $500,000 to 86 Million

Sliwa has been married four times.
In July 2018, Curtis married long-time girlfriend and attorney 38 year old Nancy Regula who serves as the Director of Animal Protection in the Guardian Angels organization. Nancy and Curtis reside on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with their rescue cats.

In September 2016, Sliwa launched a successful hostile takeover of the Reform Party of New York State. The party lost its ballot access in the November 2018 elections. Sliwa has announced that he will be running for mayor of New York City in 2021 as a Republican, seeking to become the 110th mayor of New York City

The Reform Party's long, winding road takes another turn (article includes Sliwa)
