Thanks for the compliment 7.
I am so blessed to have been right there during the greatest inventions in modern time.
I was happy to participate as a consumer and on a voluntary input basis of some early software.
I was acquainted with some members of the team that created the Paint program which ended up as part of
Windows software before there was Windows................Wow! My friend was an old hat that developed the ability
for famous store chains to communicate with one another before there was the internet. Crazy stuff.
The computer ,mobile phone, smartphone, internet ,compact disc, flash drive,LED bulbs,
MP3 players,Digital Cameras,VCR Tapes, cassette tapes,3D printers and much more has
changed the way we lived yesterday and here on forward.

If I could change things.... I would have fought on curbing the development of video games as it has resulted
into too many fat kids now addicted to Nintendos and Play Stations and focused more of the Bugs Bunny Cartoons.
At least when that show was over our kids were forced to go outside and play..... but who am I ?
Just an old fart with one foot in the ground.........

Best wishes future numbnuts......................

No it's stereotyping and opinion.

and you have conveniently switched to food to try to soften the object

Somebody says let's go to an Italian restaurant.
So they suggest a low end terrible Italian restaurant.

Then somebody suggests a different Italian restaurant. It is highly rated, the owner is Turkish, went to cooking school and the head chef is Mexican. One of waitresses is half Italian

The first person says "It can't be better, Vinny's is Italian owned and the kitchen is all Italians"

And that makes the food instantly better because Italians have it in their biology?

I am the last generation on this planet that was born without Internet

I know what it's like to have to get up and change the channel

That being said, we are here now

Either embrace it or don't complain because there's no going back

No. I have switched to food to show how easy it is to misinterpret.
It's all in how each individual views the world and the people in it everyday.

Excerpt: And that makes the food instantly better because Italians have it in their biology?
Response: Opinion
To answer that question. No.
It is because Italians have had a Culinary Romance with food for over 1,000 years that makes
much of their food that stands out when comparing it to other cuisines...............

My parents taught me to cook since I was old enough to walk............and I probably could give
some toques a run for their money.

Again you are entitled to your opinion and that's fine by me. Best wishes.

I just look back only to weigh the difference
as to how bad things have gotten ever since and they are steadily getting worse no thanks
to our generation. But let us not lose focus of this thread, as I have repeated.... Yang............
is making a terrible mistake if he does not focus on jobs,Jobs,Jobs.................

To answer that question. No.
It is because Italians have had a Culinary Romance with food for over 1,000 years.
Again, a person being Italian does not make them innately better at making Italian food then someone form Thailand or Russia

These stereotypes are simpleminded. If some Chinese person happens to not be good at math they don't want to hear "I'm surprised since you're Asian you only got 70 on this test".
These kinds of remarks are idiotic especially in a place like New York where ether is a lot of cultural mixing.

"Culinary Romance" sounds nice but again, one could go have a home meal made by an old Italian woman who was taught by her grandmother and that doesn't mean it's necessarily going to be better than some Jamaican guy who learned to cook Italian.
Then someone at the restaurant asks the Jamaican guy "who's your favorite reggae artist"
and he says " I don't really listen too much reggae, I like jazz"
Do you think he then wants to then hear "but you're Jamaican, I thought that's what you guys listen too"

Can we get past this dumb level of thought please?
Where can you get the best French Pastry? Since it originated in France and they do more of it there, probably in France. Yes fine

Does this mean some random French resident can make pastries?
Can you get good Chinese food in New York? Yes there is a large Chinese community here.
theses are obvious points we should be beyond this.
If you want to persist with stereotypes, there are also negative ones.
Or shall we be open minded and try to avoid simpleminded thinking?

What you call simple minded are born from origins of truth.
Don't take my word. You can fact check it.

Your response signifies that I am not entitled to my own opinion
even if not directed at me deserving of a derogatory response.

The original poster stated "Andrew Yang Hasn’t Done the Math"

Other posters interpreted as stereotypical and responded including yourself.

I responded in honest experience that I as a former instructor
never had an Asian student that wasn't good at math and
I'm O.K. with that truth. Why aren't others? If you can't accept
do so without derogatory remarks and move on.

........Best wishes.....jonbenson

Sorry, derailed; let me get back on track.

"Andrew Yang will not succeed if he fails to focus on Jobs ,Jobs, Jobs.

Well, they aren't wrong. Black people have been attacking Asians at an overwhelming rate, trying to gloss over that is bogus.

Andrew Yang is too nice for his own good. He'll get run over and then run over in reverse if he became mayor of NYC.
