I have to say I feel no sympathy for Maloney. Whenever I've called or written her office, they have done absolutely nothing. I mean, not even returned my calls. That's not to say I want a newbie like this one, though.

New target for New York’s ascendant left: Rep. Carolyn Maloney
Nearly three years ago, a little-known left-wing organization helped engineer Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s shock victory over Rep. Joseph Crowley in a House primary. Last year, the group, Justice Democrats, aided Jamaal Bowman’s ouster of Rep. Eliot Engel in another House primary.
Now the group has found its next New York target: Rep. Carolyn Maloney, 75, a Democrat first elected to Congress in 1992, who chairs the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.

All the moderate Democrats who think they will be safe from the bloodthirsty Leftist radicals because they have a D next to their name will be in for a rude awakening.

In liberal NYC where there are no longer any Republicans to direct their hate towards, the target of the far Left will be on those Democrats that are not far enough left.

You're getting a little overly dramatic there. Democrats do not direct hate at all Republicans, and the only bloodthirsty people in the news these days aren't Democrats - they're Trump supporters.

A lot of her district is pretty to very rich. I don't think they'll be happy voting for some left wing socialist loon. I doubt they'll have the same success as they had in the more downtrodden districts.

Also, I hope the Republicans are watching. If the Democritters vote for this idiot in a thinly participated midterm primary, I hope they can come up a candidate to appeal to the more moderate majority of general election voters.

You’re being disingenuous. The Left is canceling, tearing down institutions, burning, looting and murdering. The number of riots from the Left (BLM, Antifa, woke progressives) outnumber Trump supporter protests 500 to 1.

It isn’t Trump supporters screaming at white restaurant patrons to leave NYC. It isn’t Trump supporters setting fires to federal buildings and police stations in Portland. It isn’t Trump supporters taking over an entire block in Seattle or NYC City Hall.

None of that is happening in cida's world. It's all fake news. Check CNN sometime: none of that exists.

It was Trump supporters that rammed a car into a crowd, and it was Trump supporters breaking into the Capitol and helping the US show an incredible amount of weakness to our would be adversaries. Idiots are on both sides, but idiotic fiscal and trade policies are where the Trump administration really made a name for itself.

Figures mister Leftist would butt in. Even if we count those two incidences, like I said, the number of Leftists riots outnumber the ones from the right by 500 to one and that’s just from last summer alone.

That “idiot” fiscal and trade policies got the country’s economy to its best performance in over 50 years.

This is very true. But the reason why those two posters don't see this point is because CNN never broadcasts these types of stories. It's pretty sad when the media cancels facts and presents and enhances only whatever fits their narrative and so they think that this myopic view is the only true way. Also, not many people have the time to do research on the outside - in many cases, it doesn't even occur to them. They just take the media's word for it.

Right, people who disagree with you two are all going to be leftists and CNN-watchers

Nevermind that there might actually be some complexity in the world and that the myriad of different issues don't necessarily all tie into each other in just one of two camps on a single axis left-right spectrum. Guess it might be easier to just claim everyone else as leftists watching CNN.

Yea, there were a lot more protestors coming out against the Trump administration than for the far right. Somehow that wasn't ramming vehicles into crowds to kill or injure or publicly displaying weakness to our adversaries by breaking into the Capitol. It looks like the probability roll of Trump supporters doing more harm is worse given that there were so many, many more leftists.

The Trump administration inherited an economy with strong fundamental indicators and yet somehow the trade deficit got worse as did the national deficit. Yea, it can look good if you run that credit card during good times--you can make it look real good for a while, but fundamentally this appeared to be a pretty odd gamble to do during a pretty good economy. No rainy day funds and racking up debt during the good years is generally not a fantastic fiscal strategy. Capital improvements like investments in infrastructure and education would have been good, but that didn't really happen. Instead, we re-routed global supply chains by putting tariffs on everyone at once so supply chains were re-established with the US further cut out with East Asia, the rest of the Americas, and Europe solidifying new trade agreements without us. We somehow even got Japan to sign a new trade agreement with China despite the historical enmity. We even went stupid enough to basically cut off part of our "insurance" for pandemic support prior to the pandemic, and that ended up being idiotic. Good job, definitely happy to not be in your camp. I might even try watching CNN if it somehow helps, but I have a gut feeling that being reflexive to you is also a bad idea, since y'know, I'm doubtful of everything being on a single axis of for and against and I might not be happy to be wrangled into that kind of idiocy.
