The NYCDOE is an endless mess. Most schools are mediocre at best, and the 'woke' want to shut down the few excellent schools like the Specialized High Schools. The 'woke' also think that there is actually a way to integrate a school system with a 15% white enrollment.
They're not targeting whites. That's a trojan horse.
They're going after the Chinese.
Remove SI and "white" enrollment in the 4 boroughs is most likely below 10%. There aren't enough white schools to integrate anything.
The entire "integration" strategy serve 2 purposes.
1. Pander to ****ty parents for votes. Keep on telling them that their low IQ kids aren't stupid because they're ****ty parents but because of "they system" aka whites and Asians (in the case of NYC).
2. Keep white and asian school/voting districts in line. Your district can be destroyed at any time. Don't cause too much trouble and vote/donate to our campaigns since we're going to win anyway.

For a critique that is not hypothetical, you would have to look at actual proposals that have a good chance of being enacted

If all the white students on SI were to leave the NYC schools, the white enrollment in the entire system would be around 12.17%, about 133,176 students. 'Integration' really means sending white and asian kids to dangerous schools far away from their homes via long bus or subway rides.
I was prepared to bash your response but these are some decent points. Seems like you're using remote learning as a form of quasi-homeschooling, in part because you have the time and wherewithal to do so. Fair enough.
I don't think teachers need more breaks. They get more breaks than virtually any other professional ready.
I'm saddened to agree that in some cases, being home on a computer is in fact more conductive to learning than being in broken public schools surrounded by disruptive, possibly violent kids - and quite possibly less exposure to some of the low-quality teachers that often populate low-quality schools. That the situation has gotten to this point is pretty pathetic, though.

I don't even think it m ana that to be honest. It's just a way to get black/Hispanic votes by making ****ty parents feel better about themselves and their involvement in raising low IQ kids.

so who is planning to do this?
