He has not officially won of course but how do you think he will perform in general if he indeed is elected? I think he seems corrupt and not very intelligent but that isn’t enough to cause destruction. How will the very progressive city council react to his moderate to right wing stances?

As far as I see, the whole dynamic of the city has changed. There is the Covid recovery, bail reform plus a lot of anti police groups that have grips on city hall.

As crime skyrockets the anti-police groups grip will be loosened. Radical mad max free for all sounds fun to dopey college kids, militant minorities, or hipsters looking for a more "gritty" NY, it is not good for families, businesses, tourism etc.

I’m not sure about him but if he can get crime under control that will go a long way toward gaining more support. It’s looking like he’ll be at odds with media though who are getting increasingly unfriendly toward him. Any successes will be downplayed and failures will be highlighted and exaggerated.

If he continues to respond to adversity by citing racism, he’ll lose a lot of credibility and I agree that he doesn’t seem all that smart but we’ll see. I was hoping Garcia would win as she seems the most competent and sane candidate but it’s not looking good for her. If there’s an upset it will be Maya Wiley — who is a complete phony that wants to defund the police for the rest of us while at the same time hiring private security for her neighborhood.

I think Curtis Sliwa would’ve made a good mayor. He seems no BS.
On the other hand, regardless of who is mayor, crime will continue to rise. There is no fixing drug addiction, homelessness, or the recent anti police sentiment.

I think Adams might actually be a very good mayor in that it appears that he wants to prove that he knows what's he's doing.
