I can't stand deblasio and couldn't stand Cuomo. But I routinely watched and listened to their tv briefings/speeches.

It's good to have an open mind.
Or maybe we've actually watched him over the course of decades and know who and what he is.

P.T Barnum would have been proud. I wonder how much, Sliwa PAID this actor for this well choreographed, staged event..

I am surprised they didn't break into a soft shoe with someone tossing Sliwa a cane.

Whether or not he's a con artist is a separate matter. If anybody uses Penn Station to commute say via the LIRR or subway, let me tell you, it's open season. On that, Sliwa is 100% correct. Open air drug use, junkies all around the station, esp. by the 7th Av entrance. The area has become much dirtier and gritty over the last several years, so much so that certain entrances are avoided where possible. Then there are all of the homeless lined up within Penn Station itself. I don't know if he'll get many votes, but if it was based on the need to clean that area up... Lord knows he should get some votes for that. I've been frequenting that area for years, so yes, there has always been a homeless population, but never this bad and never this aggressive to where it's really right in your face because there are so many of them.

Sliwa is a buffoon who had his 15 minutes of fame 40 years ago.

I use the 7th ave entrance. Make a beeline for the escalator, (used to grab a bite at Pret before they closed) and then just wait for my train. Ignore everything else and you’re fine. I know people disagree, but I don’t think it compares to port authority which I avoid like the plague.

Have you been using Penn Station since the pandemic?

Yup. But to be fair, I don’t have any reason to actually walk through the station, so maybe I’m missing the more egregious displays and my NY blinders go on and off instinctively . The riff raff outside doesn’t bother me. I just ignore it.

Oh boy! Rudy's nephew... what a schmucks opportunity. I though he was gonna give the guy a shake/hug!!!

Penns station, port authority always been a grand shh hole!

Timessquare is kept kinda clean cause it's a money machine ,and make great photo opps for the media.

People might vote for him, like they voted trump! People fall for theatrics,no?

And they other candidate will show his face in brooklyn, for the parade, to get half of Brooklyn's vote...

The fall is gonna be intresting!!!

Its funny to me how many people hate on Sliwa. I ain't saying he's perfect but compared to all the other crummy politicians (save for Yang) the dude is an angel. NONE of the other politicians wouldn't get close to Penn Station unless they have a squad of police with them. Also, Sliwa came to the Bronx last weekend to do a clean up and is one of the ONLY Republicans who actually campaigns in the hood. What other Republicans you ever seen in the hood? If I lived in NYC I would vote for him hands down.
