That RA is in my area, passed by late last night and things now are locked down tight after closing (11PM).

Store used to have their roaming Mexican janitors show up to do floors, and employees did stock, facing shelves, etc... But guess with store closing in two weeks that's all over. Those who used to work overnight either were let go or sent to other RA stores I suppose.

There's not much stock left in the place, and thieves still are going in to jack what they can find.

RA at 50th and 8th is same. People I know in area say that place has empty shelves as well to point many wonder why they even bother opening.

My guess is at both locations much inventory of non perishable goods has been packed up and sent to other stores.

Sucks for the workers, those 15 dollar an hour jobs are drying up.

Although it is funny that Rappaport AKA Mr. Woke, witnessed his own woke policies in action.

I read that this morning and I'm disgusted. This is the result of the Black Lives Matter movement and the Antifa thugs. If that person was light skinned I guarantee you that rent-a-cop would have gone after the him/her and be hailed as a hero. But since he's black he's allowed to steal as he pleases. You can also thank that FAT, lazy slob Avin Bragg and the degenerates that voted him and the mayor into office. You want to go soft on criminals then this is what you get.

Once all of these stores close down and people resort to online purchases you can thank yourselves for being unemployed and crimes being rampant. Great job for voting for these people New Yorkers!

Security at Rite Aid have been told to not stop em if they take something. Murder. Lawsuit. Then god forbid if the black security guard, who was on 80th & 2nd stopped him and got shot, and him or his family sued, people in this thread would be making snide comments like "OH GOD, NOW HE'S SUING!!!" THE HORROR!!!

Had no idea thieves were hitting Associated on First and 81st!

“It happens everywhere around here,” said Herman Diaz, an assistant manager at the nearby Morton Williams supermarket on First Avenue and East 81st Street. “They come here, 2 or 3 [shoplifting incidents per day] for meat and beer and Red Bull.”

“[On] Sunday, six kids, 17-25 years old, each got a basket, [filled it] with meat, beer, everything, didn’t pay, they walked out, got into a car, a BMW. Young kids.”

Someone else tried to steal beer and Red Bull last Thursday, he said.

“I tell him, you can’t take it,” Diaz said. “He spit in my face and pushed me. He dropped it on the floor when he saw me. He was drunk, I think.”

In fact every place in area seems to be getting slammed. CVS on First and 82nd, DAG on Lex & 83rd...
