So Blinken in the Biden administration is saying Poland should send attack jets into Ukraine, and Putin would immediately bomb the airfields in Poland. Poland is a NATO country, so that would trigger an article 5 declaration and all NATO countries would immediately be at war with Russia including the US. If Russia proper in attacked, Putin is likely to launch his nuclear arsenal at the United States.

Russian ICBM's carry up to 800 kiloton Nuclear warheads:

"On a clear day with average weather conditions, the enormous heat and light from the fireball would almost instantly ignite fires over a total area of about 100 square miles."

So we're talking complete annihilation of Manhattan and most of Brooklyn, South Bronx, and Western Queens. I'd say it's time to make sure you have your iodine pills ready and a ready escape plan on short notice

I hope this does not happen and I cant believe we are so close to this and the world has let this happen.

The lucky ones will go fast, if by some miracle you do survive, you will wish you died because of the radiation that will be around after for decades.

I dont think it will happen. Way too many people with lots of money have a say in all of this.

With Putin, anything was a good reason to strike anyway. Hopefully, there is a bit of travel distance and they might be able to hit the ICBM before it reaches continental US.

Im back to midtown Eeast few times a week. Its about half empty still. So not too bad. Not being there for 2 years was awesome. But eventually WFH becomes really boring as well. Its good to mix it up.
